The Mittelland Canal, also known as the Midland Canal, (German: Mittellandkanal, German: [ˈmɪtl̩lantkaˌnaːl] ) is a major canal in central Germany. It forms an important link in the waterway network of the country, providing the principal east-west inland waterway connection.
