Monte Piana is a 2,324-metre (7,625 ft) mountain in the Sexten Dolomites, on the border between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno. The smaller northern summit is named Monte Piano (2,305 m). During the White War in World War I, the mountain was heavily contested between the Austro-Hungarian and Italian armies.
